BRENDAN TUTT

Managing Director

Brendan Tutt is the Managing Director and Founder of the Tessa Group of Companies, a privately owned, fully integrated and multi-disciplinary residential property business model, that possesses industry leading capabilities encompassing property development, project advisory & marketing, building management, house building and real estate agency operations.

Establishing the multi-company, multi-disciplined business model in 2014 Brendan ensured each key specialist area of focus was appropriately resourced with highly qualified and industry renowned management teams responsible for driving and leading each company to provide best in market performance. Brendan’s key responsibility is managing the daily operations, performances and expansion of the entire group through strategic partnerships and industry relationships.

Commencing his career in real estate in 2000, Brendan has worked in both agency and corporate roles within the property industry for more than two decades. Prior to launching Tessa, Brendan worked at one of Queensland’s largest private property development companies. Holding a senior executive role of General Manager of Sales he worked from the early planning of product mix and design, overseeing the launch, sale and settlement of projects.

Brendan was responsible for managing the leasing, and positioning of all retail assets and was also involved with site acquisition activities. In these roles Brendan worked closely with all directors of the company and reported to the board and key stakeholders.

Brendan was also previously the Managing Director, Partner and Licensee of Ray White CBD Residential, the largest residential agency in Brisbane’s CBD, Brendan was responsible for managing the daily operations of the business and oversaw the sales and property management divisions.


KURT SWENSON

Director

Kurt Swenson is a founding Director of Tessa Developments whose cornerstone principle is to develop high quality multi-residential development projects in desired locales, affording all stakeholders superior product and project outcomes.

Commercially focused with extensive business experience, Kurt is primarily responsible for the company’s site acquisition, project finance, project delivery, risk mitigation strategies, cash flow management and tax compliance activities, ensuring project and business risks are identified, quantified and well-managed.

With more than 12 years’ experience within the real estate and finance industries, Kurt has worked for two of Australia’s major banks as well as for a private commercial finance origination company structuring and managing commercial and property finance transactions for high net worth privates and institutional operators throughout Australia.

Prior to co-founding Tessa Developments, Kurt worked for ANZ Bank’s Institutional Property Division, during which time he settled property finance transactions exceeding an aggregate value of $1 billion. He also previously worked with Westpac Banking Corporation and also as an accountant with a leading Brisbane Chartered Accounting firm.

Kurt holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting, Banking and Finance from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Property Economics from the Queensland University of Technology.


JASON MARRIOTT

Senior Development Manager

Jason Marriott is the Senior Development Manager of Tessa Developments, joining the team in 2016 in overseeing & delivering the company’s multi-million dollar residential projects, utilising all facets of development management skills, from inception & planning, to design, construction & development completion.

Prior to commencing his role within Tessa Developments, Jason worked as a Senior Development Manager for Honeycombes Property Group for more than 10 years where he was responsible for managing the development and consultant teams for the company’s portfolio of projects. Key tasks included investigating prospective sites, feasibility analysis, forecasting, master planning approvals, construction delivery, liaising with local authorities, development timeline monitoring, and reporting to the board and joint venture partners.

Jason also has nine years’ experience within the civil engineering and project management profession, working for a number of Australian and overseas engineering firms with key roles including design, supervision and construction of major projects, alongside government and authority agency liaison.

Jason possesses a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology and an Open Builder’s License in Project Management Services.
